Bourbon barrel aged barleywine, brewed with our friends from South Florida 3 Sons. Pours deep dark ruby with thin white foam. Aromas of wood, toffee, and dark fruit in the base beer.

This is the better of the two battle sets, and I loved the other one quite a bit. Dark brown body, tan collar, lazy spotted lacing. Big bourbon without booze heat, rustic oak, molasses, raisin, fig, caramel, with hints of maple, plum and barley, make up the aroma bouquet. Taste is much the same, add big vanillins and hints of prune and candi sugar. Feel is smooth and warm without getting boozy or too sweet, but admittedly a dessert barleywine. The wife liked it

quite liked. this was last week. Dark as pitch, modest but assertive head into 4 oz gentlemanly snifter pours. Smell & taste is super sweet, sticky, lip-lickin' and syrupy barleywine style. i recollect some barrel having its say as it traveled down the hatch, but the sweetness overtakes any perceptible booze heat. Sure went down smoothly. Slowly. Delectably. Liquid dessert.

Glad it got added now!
