Clear pour, medium brown tone, near opaque but some vibrant carbonation can be seen; thick head, khaki colored, densely spongy, long-lasting. Inviting dark malt, toffee, and caramel nose; moderately sweet. Well-rounded taste; modest sweetness with fine delicate chocolate and cocoa base flavor offset with some minor grain char bitterness. Medium-heavy mouthfeel; lager-smooth and silky on the palate; a slight astringency and dryness offsetting the residual sugars.
Overall, a solid, no-frills Baltic porter that comes across balanced and tasty.
ABV: 7.5%; pouring temperature: 49.4 °F; canning info: n/a

Taster at brewery. Dark brown, filmy head. Rich, roasty aroma. Taste brings more roasty malts, hint of chocolate, burst of sweetness. Full, roasty, smooth.

2023 batch on draft at the brewery. Full finger of head, with graham, light roasted grains, hints of vanilla on the nose. Nice oxidation and floral hop characters on the palate, not leaning in super hard to the Baltic elements but still very smooth and enjoyable.

The beer is black with a small off-white head and a bit of lace.
Aroma of roasted malt, coffee, and chocolate.
Taste of dark chocolate, espresso, and char.
Medium-bodied. I liked the bitterness in the aftertaste.

Dark and malty, not rich or particularly bitter, making it easy to drink if not particularly remarkable.

Christmas gift can poured into pint glass. Black with medium head. Full bodied with a twinge of bitterness.
