Located in a fairly rough industrial section of Albuquerque.
Nice new lien space, but somewhat dark.
Good selection of beers. The ones I had were above average.
No stouts or porters, but a number of sour options - all of which I considered a negative.
The food truck they had advertised on the web didn’t show up, so we had to move on 22 min. to Rio Bravo.

Right off Hwy 40 in an industrial area . A small patio is out front with a food truck . Inside is wide open with bar and brewery on the back wall lots of farmhouse communal seating , with barrels thru out They offer flights and had 18 taps going. Inside was very open with high ceilings and dim lighting. Knowledgeable and friendly servers . They have a cooler of pounders to go and will mix and match can . Enjoyed my visit.

Visited after lunch with my mom. Maybe a dozen taps or so, some sour, some funky, some traditional, some modern IPA. I had a saison (good) and a sour (great). Bar service. Fairly large, some high tops, big bar, a couple couches. Barrels stacked up around the seating areas.

Servers were friendly and knowledgeable, willing to share opinions, recommended another brewery based on what I was liking.

They fill crowlers, they had some bottles and cans for sale to go. Would definitely go back.

Located in an old warehouse on the outskirts of Old Town, wide open spaces, but lent itself to smaller, more intimate gatherings. Tap list leaned hard on sours, witha few more traditonal styles sprinkled throughout. Pils and Hazy were A-OK. Stout was mildly sour, but added an interesting wrinkle. Avoided traditional sour styles, but reviews show them as quite good..

Large industrial space just south of the highway. Cavernous interior, service bar along the wall opposite the entrance with plenty of tables about the reminder of the room. Also has patio area with picnic tables a barrel tops. A dozen beers and 2 seltzers on tap. Bottles and can available to go. Food truck.

So spacious. It's industrial modern, with a small outdoor patio. Seems like more room than they have use for, at least on the slow afternoon I visited. Incredibly friendly service, and I dug the vibe here all the same. Hope they keep up what they're doing.

Visited with a small group in April 2019. The taproom was a modern, clean and open setting within a working brewery, with lots of tables and bar seating. I am unsure of availability of food, as we were only there for beer tastings. The staff was pleasant, professional and knowledgeable. There were approximately 15 beers on tap, representing many styles. They also had beer to go in attractive Belgian-style 500ml bottles.

The beers I sampled were all well-made and were very good examples of some diverse styles. Albuquerque beer culture tends to be very IPA-centric in my opinion, and I am often disappointed by local brewers' attempts at more diverse Old World styles--not so at this brewery! I tried two saisons, an American sour and a wee heavy. Although these were drastically different styles, they were brewed with equally capable skill and all were very good. Their website has a banner that reads, "Wild, Sour, and Barrel-aged beers brewed in the heart of the American Southwest." No wonder when I visited I felt they were right up my alley! I will definitely return here to try more styles when I have a chance.

This place is awesome. The vibe is a little odd, as it's in a large industrial space with large rows of picnic tables serving as the main seating. It works though, providing a nice, relaxed atmosphere. The beer is awesome (though the pricing is a little weird). Don't know much about the service as I've mostly ordered from the bar, but the selection is solid and they have many rotating seasonals. Definitely a cool place and one I always enjoy, although getting there can be a little weird due to the road system in the surrounding area.

this place is way better than its ratings, i had an amazing experience, it might have even been my favorite brewery visit while i was in albuquerque! its a massive space, expansive to say the least, but so mellow for its size its crazy, dim lighting, lots of wood features, long communal tables giving it a beer hall type feel, a long and sort of refined and even ornate bar, with some gorgeous native american themed decor and a very quiet vibe, almost like a library, huge but near silent. they had an awesome selection of beers too in this place, which felt immediately foreign but also welcoming, very southwestern, but different too, so cool! the beers were super ambitious too, a wild sumac berliner, a navajo tea grisette, and a brett saison in red wine barrels, pretty compelling stuff for a brewery i had never heard of before! most of them were quite good, none blew me away or were even as good or unique as they sounded on paper, but all were well done and rather drinkable, if slightly amateurish. the place is immaculate though, and these native type beers really struck a chord with me. service was good but unremarkable, and time flew by here just taking it all in. this will be at the top of my list when i go back! highly recommended, definitely the most inspired beers i encountered down here...

I don't know what's happened since May, but I was there in June and found the beers excellent (particularly the seasonals like the wild rice pale ale and robust porter), the space beautiful, and the service extremely friendly. I think La Cumbre is probably still the best brewery in ABQ, but I'd much rather drink at Bow & Arrow than virtually any other taproom in the city.

Beautiful space combining sleekness, art, and an indoor biergarten feel. It's an attractive place and seems a great place for bringing lots of friends or coming with the kids/family and not feeling out of place.

However, the beers here are just not good. I didn't want to finish a sample of most and some didn't even taste to style or the descriptors listed by the brewery.

Only their seasonal stout was worth drinking but after tasting so many duds I wasn't really trying to drink much of that one.

I'll give these guys four months and see if they've gotten their act together, but as things stand, the beer is just bad and that's the only reason why I'd come here to begin with.

I usually give a break to new places, I understand it takes a bit to get into the swing of things. Having said that, I'll have to return here someday and see if they have improved things. The beers were way off and basically just lacked taste, I hope they learn their equipment because I love to see growth and learning and all that is good. ‐---------------> That was my review from 9 years ago. Today I made it back and had a pint of a pretty dang solid NEIPA in a place that was nothing of what I remembered, and my beer slinger was pretty good at his job as well. ‐------------> This is exactly why when I travel I love to revisit place I've been to before, good-bad-or-otherwise. Oh yeah, I adjusted the rating.

These folks have come a long way in their 2 years. My rule of thumb with new breweries is to generally give them a year before I close the books on them, I almost didn't bother giving them that window based on my initial impressions. Definitely glad I kept at it with them because by their 1 year mark, they had really turned a corner and became a good brewery, not everything they did was a winner but plenty of what they were doing was. Now 2 years with some nice tweaks to their set up, i.e. some recipe tweaks and updating their flagship lineup, they have a really good thing going. They are putting out a lot of really good beers in a wide variety of styles from IPL's to IPA's to Saisons to Wild Ales, to Barrel Aged offerings, to sours, etc. Since I have been down here in ABQ, I think this is the brewery that has grown the most. Its been nice to see. I The atmosphere/vibe here is great, open and airy beer hall. Slick, clean, and aesthetically pleasing. Whoever designed it did a nice job. A bar, a bunch of communal benches, and a couple couches. s Service is good, better than most spots in Albuquerque. Beer quality and selection, as already discussed, has improved a lot over their 2 years and is really good. Overall, I think these folks have arrived and have become one of Albuqerque's must hit breweries.
