16oz can, presumed canning date of 02.08.2021, poured into a stemless wine glass.
The beer pours a bright golden orange color, hazy and cloudy with amber hues and a large foamy white head, moderate retention and attractive lacing. The aroma is pleasant, fairly herbal, some grassiness, lots of earthy pine, grapefruit peel and a hint of soft peach and citrus juice with a nice bready base. The flavors are in line with the nose, herbal and dank grassiness, some soft wildflower, resinous pine, moderate bitterness, grapefruit peel, brighter stone fruits, a bit of tropical pineapple, lots of biscuit malt and sweeter yeast. The mouthfeel is good, coating and lively medium body, vibrant and not overly chewy with a dry finish.
Verdict: A nice hazy IPA from Bow and Arrow. A much more earthy and bitter profile than the typical NEIPA which is a nice change of pace. The balance is solid and it makes for a very quaffable beer.
