Brewed with Hallertau Mittelfruh + Saaz hops. Wind down that dusty trail with aromas of dark chocolate, mild coffee roast, and molasses. Playful flavors of malty roasted chocolate, raisins, figs, finishing with a smooth caramel sweetness & toasted bread.

Dark, clear pour; beer looks black and opaque in the glass; thick, frothy tan head with splotchy patches of foam accenting the inside of the glass. Powerful aroma of roasted grain and coffee notes. Fine taste; dark roast malt and coffee hints; dark chocolate; excellent overall bitterness from the grains, coffee, and hops. Medium-heavy mouthfeel; smooth and slick on the palate.
This is a fine take on a German schwarzbier amped up a bit with a coffee addition.
