My first from Korea Craft Brewery (AKA ARK), so I went on their website. My interesting survey plus this very thoughtful ale, I've decided I'd like more from these guys... unfortunately I'm leaving Korea in two days. Their website is both sophisticated (a lot of work for a young brewer) and short (not so much work.) While I could be better informed by them, I like their angle of bringing people out of urban areas and giving them a brewery tour that can include food. There appears to be no taproom, which suggests a different model for micros. Their flagship, Seoulite is a playful play on their beautiful brewery being in suburban Seoul... almost exurban from the setting I see on the website. Anyhow, ARK's micro-concept is great and the Ale is quite good. So for all that, I give ARK some very good Overall Hugs.
As for my beer review...... Based on my shyness from the style over the last few years, Seoulite still is one of this style's better brews because it is not bitter. Seoulite Looks very appetising. Smells mostly of malt which, to me, makes the entrance of hops even more modest in mid-palate and their lingering finish is quite accomplished. Medium-mouthed.
I want more.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
