Into a Delerium snifter.
Big head, pitch black colour, Kind a thinner stout, great mouthfeel, taste is quite good, a little sweeter than I initially expected. Overall, will try again.

Dark brown, near black, covered with a cloud of sandy, bubbly head. A couple minutes retention before leave a film.
Dark chocolate & dark roast coffee beans, with cream and almonds lending some sweetness to the scent. Creme brulee.
Creamy chocolate, like a less-rich version you would put on a fudge sunday, and more milky, like the ice cream has melted in a bit. Relatively sweet, like candy sugar, with some vanilla. Not picking up salt. A touch of coffee roast. Very low bitterness. Light carbonation, medium-full body, well rounded feel.
More shallow on flavour then expected, and not living up the name - I was expecting something like a salted dark chocolate bar. Heavy handed on the sugars, which is a turn off for me. There's potential and I like the idea, but work to be done on the execution.

Ruby black; root beer syrup + liquid smoke; big date, some cola, burnt caramel hard candy, hit of salt, bit melanoidin end; chewy.

Deep nose - sweet + savoury, both, almost like eel sauce. Not very salted caramel, though. (Ed: that’s because it’s salted *licorice*) Interesting, at least.

500 ml bottle poured into a glass mug. Deep, dark brown with a frothy head of tan foam. Aromas of roasted malt, cocoa and earth. Satisfyingly balanced flavor with Dutch licorice adding a perfect herbal and savory counterpoint to the roasted malt, coffee, chocolate and toffee malt notes. Medium to full body and moderate carbonation.
