A strong sour ale brewed with our own farm grown wheat and fermented with a blend of our house sour culture and a farmhouse yeast strain. Chamomile, coriander, lemon zest and a light dry hop addition of Mandarina Bavaria & Citra add complex herbal and citrus notes.

Slightly hazy pale amber color. Poured a medium height head that collapsed down to a patchy skiff after a minute and a half. Moderate flow of small bubbles rising from the bottom of the glass. Left some small spots of lace.
Smells of light stonefruit with some horseblanket and a light yeast funk. Started quite light and then the stonefruit faded away. Very slightly sweet. Some light wheat malt surfaced after a while. Swirling the glass kicked up the horseblanket with a lighter stonefruit. Smells a bit like a peach pie with the malt close to a baked crust smell, but there is still quite a bit of funk and horseblanket around.
Sweet and sour flavor. The stonefruit pops out, but it seems a little spoiled. There is a surprising mild-medium bitter note that shows up later; much stronger than the 5 IBU mentioned on the label. A strong, and slightly strange funk and herbal mix sits in the background, changing the overall flavor base with each mouthful. There is something else I can't identify, like it was held in an oak barrel used to age brandy or whiskey. The aftertaste starts out bitter and then fills out with the flavors that are less distinct in the main taste: oak, herbs, and funk.
Strong foaming that falls just short of a cream, with the cream feeling much stronger near the end of the glass. Medium body. Not oily, but it felt like it coated my teeth with a light oil.
Interesting to sample, but I didn't really feel like I wanted a whole glass. The flavor was a bit too experimental without a real payback. Nothing was really bold and nothing was really subtle. The various flavors didn't really complement each other; it was somewhat muddy. It didn't really seem to know what it was trying to be.
