Inspired by practically everyone's favourite sweet treat of fried dough, the churro! This stout features loads of caramel and chocolate malts, along with lactose sugar for added sweetness. Transformed by adding vanilla, cinnamon sticks, and brown sugar for an out of this world flavour.

Poured from 568mL can into my BeerAdvocate teku. There's a date code on the can, but I can't decipher it.
Appearance: dark brown hue with plenty of murk and a thick head of frothy dark-tan foam atop. Nice!
Smell: I'm definitely getting caramel, cinnamon, and vanilla, plus hints of chocolate malt and a bit of a crystal malt toastiness. It's not crazy sweet, either, which I like. Totally solid!
Taste: relatively sweet, although there's enough spicing and alcohol here to mostly balance it. Cinnamon is really to the fore; more so than I care for. There's a little astringency, too, that doesn't quite work for me. Nevertheless, this is still a solid beer. Not stellar, but pretty good.
Taste: medium-rich body with a moderate carbonation and a nicely smooth and creamy texture. It kinda starts off light and then builds its creaminess ... I'm actually really liking it.
Overall: a tasty beer, and I'm quite enjoying it. It's not a top-tier flavored imperial stout, but it ain't bad.

Poured from a 568ml can.
Pours a very dark brown with a thin tan head.
A nice caramel/cinnamon nose.
A nice tasting stout the cinnamon really stands out with a caramel finish.

568ml can poured into tulip. I appreciate that the can is rather large.
Pours a nice inky black with two plump fingers of mocha head that leaves some rolling hillside lace as it slowly recedes.
Smells of cinnamon spiced hot chocolate, vanilla shortbread cookies, iced coffee, roasted caramel malt, campfire smoke and some lacto sweetness.
Tastes of holiday spiced cinnamon coffee, chocolate-drizzled churros dipped in whipped cream, brown sugared bread and more ashy smoke.
Feels thick and plushy. Full bodied with silky carbonation. Finishes chewy.
Verdict: Vigorously recommended. A good solid warmer of a stout, pleasantly spiced and in an agreeably big can.
