Can purchased from Fattey Beer Company in Rochester, NY.
This one pours a light golden amber color, with a small head, and a bit of lacing.
This smells lightly malty – bready, crackery, and slightly spiced, with a touch of grassy hops.
It’s very cool that Buffalo Brewing resurrected this ancient Buffalo classic. It’s a little plain, just sort of an in-between amber lager and adjunct light lager, I guess. It’s slightly toasty, and pretty bready, with very little hop character – just some grassiness, and a thin watery finish. It’s basically a less impressive Yuengling – which makes it seem like I’m slagging it, but I honestly enjoyed it.
This is light bodied, clean, crisp, and pretty drinkable.
I love the idea of this, and can moderately enjoy the actual taste of this.
