Loaded with late hop additions, our Sunshine IPA delivers a burst of tropical fruit flavors upfront followed by a noticeable but well balanced bitterness. An easy drinking and refreshing IPA perfect for summer sipping.

At Craft Heads on University Ave. West in nearby downtown Windsor; on tap and chilled, in a flight of four beers. My second beer from the Tecumseh, ON brewery.

473 mL can from the LCBO; dated Jul 8 2022 and served slightly chilled.
Pours a lightly fogged pale golden colour, producing an inch of puffy, foamy, sparkling white head. It seeps away gradually over the next five minutes or so, eventually reduced to a bumpy, creamy cap and collar as well as an attractive coat of doily-patterned lacing. The aroma is muted, with hints of orange, stone fruit, grapefruit and floral hops.
It's a decent, well-rounded strong IPA - moderately bitter, with some juicy, citrusy characteristics shining through. Mandarin orange, grapefruit, lemon and apricot at the forefront, with hints of mango by mid-sip; this is all backed up by lightly sweet, wheaty, bready pale malts. A little earthy on the back end, with piney hop bitterness and floral notes echoing into a resiny, somewhat pithy aftertaste. Medium-full in body, with low-ish carbonation and a fluffy-smooth mouthfeel that goes down easy.
Final Grade: 3.72, a worthy B grade. Frank's Sunshine Juicy IPA ain't half bad - middle of the road at worst, and something I wouldn't be opposed to drinking again. This is a crowded style with ample, worthy competition, and while I wouldn't say that this stands out amongst said competitors, there's certainly nothing wrong with it. Give it a try.
