i think their menu said this was brewed with some local hops, so i was really excited to try it, but it just didnt happen for me. for an american style pale, it was really lacking in hop flavor and aroma, and came across more like a mild ale or something. the bitterness was fine, but there was only a trace of leafy green hops and the faint citrus in the nose was lost to a little honey sweetness and weight in the malt base when i started sipping on it. that said, its a tasty glass of beer, not quite hoppy enough for the style, but they did a good job putting it together. its fresh on the grain side for one, and not boring in the least. the sweetness dies out and leaves a multigrain cereal complexion later on, different crystal and pale malts perhaps. smooth in feel with plenty of body and fine carbonation. i had no problem at all with the mouthfeel in any of their beers, which is often something the newer guys dont have down yet. drinkable and appealing to the masses, but i was looking for a little more of the local hops on this one.
