Almost ruby in color, this is a strong ale. Not quite conforming to the specific details of an old ale or barleywine, this wonderfully-balanced beer boasts nearly 11% ABV. With one sip, your palette is overwhelmed by the warming sensation, followed by a sweet, malty flavor which explodes and warms you through to your toes.

Foggy dark amber (wouldn't you know it!?), almost brown, with a thick, khaki blanket leaving creamy arms of lace.
Smell is floral with bready toast and banana.
Taste is sharp banana and apple liqueur with spiced rum and grape syrup.
The mild carbonation has a burning constitution, finishing quite dry.

Quite sweet. Bordering on cloying. There is amid chalky tone going on here. This could use more age. Or barrel treatment. It's okay. Would not return to it.
