I am trying this beer off the tapper at the brewery whilst in Bozeman, Montana for a family vacation. It poured a hazy golden with thin white head that did not leave much lace. The scent had dank citrus fruit notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with crisp malt base and subtle citrus fruit peel presence. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall it is a great beer.

Taster at brewery. Hazy, pale golden pour, wispy head. Aroma offers light citrusy notes. Taste continues with minor fruity flavors, grassy, sticky, mild bitterness.

Very well made beer. I had a flight of 4 IPA’s and this one stuck out.

i wouldnt take this over their midas crush, which is one of the better hoppy beers in the region, but this is another solid ipa from these guys, well made, fresh as heck, and bursting with a fruity hop complex thats neither forced nor generic, i was impressed with this one, as i have been with most beers from these guys to date. its got strong notes of passion fruit and melon to it, but doesnt drift into that unbalanced range where its only juicy hops and nothing else. there is some simple but fresh malt backing to this, light in body sure, but with enough of an earthy cereal complexion to keep it well rounded, just a touch of sweetness there through most of it, not out of place at all. the hops hint at sweet orange, lemongrass, and some of the pine family notes too, juniper, spruce, that sort of thing, even a weed element late as well, it kind of covers all the bases, and has some body, but drinks easy for me, just smooth, well carbonated, and packed with flavor. the fermentation is real clean, no yeast character either, so just the back and forth between the grain and the hops. not overly ambitious, but very well made. these guys are nailing the ipa types right now!

They are still selling it in many Montana restaurants/bars. It's a good IPA with a good taste. Had it as a draught every time.
