The beer is served in a snifter and has a deep reddish brown color with a brown tainted head of foam. The aroma are rich aND sweet with lots of cherry, raisin and plum. Along with these aromas comes some yeast and a bit of bubblegum as well as a bit of booze. The taste of the brew starts off with tons of sweet cheery and plum with the flavors creating a base. As the taste moves on the sweetress dries a bit even with some raisin and candied sugar coming to the tongue. The yeast flavors arise more at the end of the flavor profile, and even while at 10.2% only a light hint of booziness creams into the taste profile. The body of the beer is moderate in thickness and has a creamier texture, creating a nice medium for the sweet and rich flavors all while keeping it crisper. This was a very nice belgium strong dark. Rich and robust, yet still very approachable!!
