Served on tap in a pint glass
Appearance – The beer is served a hazy golden amber color with a one finger head of fizzy white foam. The head fades fast leaving a trace of foamy lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma of the brew is strongest of a wheat smell mixed with some other aromas of some banana aromas and a bit of yeast and spice of coriander and clove. Along with these smells comes some orange peel sweetness and a little bit of tangerine.
Taste – The taste begins with light wheat bready taste that has a little bit of cracker and a light yeast. The taste is drier upfront gaining some slightly sweeter flavors of orange and a little bit of banana. Toward the end some of the spice and yeast that were detected in the nose come to the tongue with the clove being the strongest of them all. With the mix of flavors, one is left with a light, slightly fruit sweetened wheat bread taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the brew is on the medium to light side in terms of thickness and creaminess with a higher level of carbonation. For the mix of spice, yeast, bready, and citrus the feel is very nice and makes this a very easy sipping brew.
Overall – An alright wit, but somewhat weaker in flavor. For only 4.3 % abv. however it is decent and makes for a moderately good sessioning brew.
