Served on tap in a pint glass
Appearance – The beer is served a clear golden amber color with a one finger head of pure white foam. The head fades very fast leaving a trace of foamy lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma of the brew is sweet overall with lots of tropical fruits of pineapple, mango, and papaya. Along with these smells comes some lighter smells of dough and a bit of herb.
Taste – The taste begins with a nice crisp cracker and slightly bready taste with a decent showing of some grapefruit hop. As the taste moves forward the bready fades and the taste gets even more crisp cracker in nature all while some more hop tastes of a herbal and floral hop join the grapefruit. With a little bit of more tropical fruit and tangerine sweetness that comes at the end, one is left with a clean and moderately hopped tropical taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the beer is on the thin and crisp side with a carbonation level that is average to slightly higher. For the mix of flavors the feel is great and makes for a refreshing and crisp drinker.
Overall – A nice and crisp APA with a big tropical fruit hop hit and an easy drinking feel.
