I am trying this beer off the tapper at Wanderlust Craft Beer Taproom & Wine Bar in Pocatello, Idaho as part of a four sample flight. It poured an opaque dark amber with tan head that is leaving a spotty lace. The scent had subtle dark chocolate malt and roast notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to sip with deep semi sweet dark chocolate malt base with roasty presence. The mouthfeel is medium in body with good carbonation. Overall it is a great beer.

16oz can from Homebrewstuff. Dark brown pour, thin layer of tan head, streaky lacing. Roasty aroma, sweet, burnt toast, light chocolate. Taste is roasty and dry, sweet, chocolaty notes coming in late. Bitterness drops off quickly, dryness remains

Enjoyed on tap in nonic pint. Dark brown, mostly opaque, medium-brown long lasting fluffy head. Roasty aromas and flavors. Plenty of smoke on the palate as well, alcohol and hops fairly subdued. Full, rich, thick, sudsy.
