Taster at Eruption Brewing. Pale golden pour, wispy head, lacing. Light bready aroma, grainy. Taste is bready, biscuity and finishes with a hint of lemon.

perhaps the most basic and also the most unremarkable beer ive had from thirsty street, who i know better for ambitious sours and such, this fell a little short for me, but i am still glad to see their beer on tap in idaho, things must be going well for them! a fine golden ale, but they leave it a little sweet, so its not quite as drinkable and refreshing as it could be, and it almost seems missing something despite the fact that in some ways its also kind of maximized, not that light in body, a longer back end, yet without any real yeast character, hoppiness, or points of interest, and i am immediately interested in the huckleberry edition they do, which might be the missing link, i could see this being a great base for that fruit, but without it, its a little plain, even uninspired to me. pretty good clarity on this, pure white head an inch high, and good carbonation, its technically rather solid. its grainy and cereal forward in the taste, a honey note running through the finish and with increasing sweetness overall as it warms, a light herbal hop note but not enough of that or its bitterness to balance this, and its only a blonde. a little safe on the recipe for me, and almost feels like the base for something that never arrives. not quite refreshing either. just a beer flavored beer...
