a real different kind of beer, one of the more interesting ones they had on the menu here, and one of their best of the ones we tasted. a hoppy wheat beer with clementine juice added, a pretty neat idea, and some really well selected hops that both work well with the wheat and accent the orange juiciness of the clementine. the flavors are rather complex for a style that tends to be a little bland at this level, so really nicely done there! it could stand a little more of the body from the wheat. the flavor is there, but the texture isnt. i think a slightly fuller, fluffier feel would really flatter the flavors. another tweak that would set this one off is more hop bitterness. it seems mostly dry hopped, and the fruit juice is sweet, so a little bitter to balance this would go a long way, although the aroma and flavor of the hops is really nice in this lighter session type brew. fine carbonation too, this is refreshing even with the little bit of residual sugar. clever recipe and nice execution. on its way to being a really solid beer.
