My first beer from this brewery was one of their heavy hitters, and it made a very good first impression. It's 10%, sure, but it doesn't just bowl you over with booze. In fact, I wouldn't have guessed it was anywhere near that until I got most of the way through my glass. It's a solid base stout, not too sweet or dry, though of course the imperial makes it somewhat sweeter. But I could have kept going on this one had I not had to drive home later. I'm excited to try more of their beers if this is the typical quality of work they do.
