On draft at the University location, a keg from their third anniversary in 2019. Looks more like a hazy IPA than a saison, which I don't really think it is. The board lists it as a brett ale which feels generic enough to be right.
Anyway, big grapefruit, orange, and champagne notes, with light straw and moderate brett funk. Really nice balance and crisp structure to it. For 2019, this has held up very well, with minimal oxidative notes.

Fresh crowler poured into fluted snifter.
Pours a hazy yellow with a thick foamy yellow tinted head. The head slowly pops itself out and leaves a floating collar of foam around the glass. A bit of sticky lacing clings to the glass.
Aroma has slight funk, slight sweetness, and floral and mineral notes.
Flavor has sweet backing with a bit of funk, very light tartness and a bit of mineral. Funk is subtle and mild. Sweetness is floral.
Moderate carbonation and medium body.
A nice brew, all aspects of flavor are subtle and they work well together.

Amazing beer coming out of Hawaii. Awesone to see all the local breweries coming out swinging the last two years but Beer Labs The Truth puts them on top, way on top. Stoked to see local breweries making it happen in the Hi State.

I'll keep this short and sweet just like my half pint of this saision. 4 oz tasting glass from tap at brewery.
A- hazy dark honey/ golden brown color with moderate lacing.
S- some funky sourness from the 100% brettanomyces.
T- there's a touch of funkiness, but a very juicy grapefruit flavor that's light on the grapefruit rind and generous with the juice.
M- a light carbonation that really lets the juiciness shine through, not too heavy, and not a hint of booziness. Very easy drinking.
O- let me preface this with the fact that I do not enjoy the saison style at all, that being said, this is not only a great saison, but a great beer in general. It's a very juicy beer and not all that horse blanket taste that saisons are known for. I liked it so much that I ordered another glass after the tasting flight!
