On tap at 16 tons.
The beer pours an attractive reddish amber color, albeit with virtually no lacing or head retention to speak of. The nose is pleasant, but hardly exciting. I pick up clove, spice (maybe some nutmeg) and something of a cola aroma. The flavor profile is more of the same, but with some decent hoppy bitterness in the finish. The bitterness helps to dry out the sweetness somewhat I thought. Mouthfeel is medium bodied to full, but with the flavor profile dropping off a bit on the finish. On the other hand, unlike some of the other Coldfire beer's I've tried, the alcohol in this beer is very well integrated into the flavor profile.
A decent saison, but it just struck me as a bit simple and one dimensional.
