Poured from bottle into glass, minimal cream colored head, good retention, and lacing. Pale hazy yellow in the glass. Smells pretty much of just smoke, which isn't a bad thing. Not in your face, but like leaning over BBQ. Taste is initially malt sweetness, then there comes the smoke. Finish is a little on the tart side, some lemon peaking out. This is probably one of the better Grodziskie's I have had. Some of these just wear on your palate, this one has that tartness on the end, and you don't get that buttery smoke finish that some display. Mouth feel is great for a 2% beer.
