A - Dark brown and borderline black pour with dense caramel cream frothy lacing.
S - Chocolate fudge aroma dominates the nose (and go figure, right?).
T - Lightly sweet chocolate with a little bit of char and fudge from start to finish while finishing on the sweeter side with some lingering chocolate fudge and leftover lactose residue.
M - Big medium body with an ever so slight thinness around the edges.
O - I'm sure the fudge lost its intensity over the months but still an enjoyable sipper.

A: Pours a pitch black color with 2 fingers of head that fades down to a thin cap
S: Roasted malt, dark chocolate, caramel, roasted grain, and a touch of nuttiness
T: Follows the nose. Starts off with roasted malt/grain, caramel, dark chocolate, super light cocoa, and a light nuttiness. Finishes with lingering roast and dark chocolate
M: Medium-full bodied with low-moderate carbonation
O: A solid imperial stout that makes for a nice sipper. Nicely balanced and not very sweet. Worth checking out

Definitely a dessert stout, with stronger roasted malt or coffee notes than expected.
Appearance is opaque deep dark brown/black, with mocha colored tiny bubbles foam, exactly as you’d expect of an Imperial Stout.
Smell is good, not as strong as expected, more of roasted barley and malt.
Feel is just right, on the thick side but not a milkshake, lingers on the tongue but not cloyingly/annoyingly so.
Taste is a little unexpected. The description promises chocolate, cocoa nibs, and hazelnut extract, but the taste (at least to my 60-something palate that’s been drenched in beers for decades) picks up much more roasted barley, malt, and even subtle coffee notes. If there’s chocolate in there then it’s pure, dark, and unsweetened. If I hadn’t read the label, I would not have picked up chocolate, cocoa nibs, or hazelnut.
It’s a very good Imperial Stout, but I was hoping for more pronounced chocolate and hazelnut flavors from it.
