On-tap in Meridian ID; most of the time, this is what I want a coffee stout to be. Very strong coffee notes, fresh and upfront with mild notes of mocha and spices as well. The cinnamon isn't really that noticeable overall, which is a bummer. Warming and a bit boozy.

Poured from a 16 oz. can. Has a black color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is of cinnamon, roasted malts. Taste is the same as the aroma, some vanilla and alcohol are also present. Feels medium/full bodied in the mouth and overall is an enjoyable beer.

Draft in tulip glass. Pours a nice black with a brief tan head. Initial impression is chocolate, cinnamon, and roasted malts. Mouthfeel is smooth and silky. Finish is slightly sweet, but still quite clean. Overall, and very enjoyable and thoroughly drinkable Imperial Stout.

Good head production and modest retention. There is still some dark tan foam a solid 10 minutes after the pour, albeit mostly confined to a ring around the edge of the glass.

Sure enough, there's cinnamon on the nose, along with plenty of roast. This beer could almost pass for a cinnamon coffee stout. Other notes include toffee, red grape, raisin, vanilla, and chocolate.

Mild to moderate sweetness on the palate; it actually passes quite well for a breakfast, vice dessert, stout. Nice cinnamon flavor, accenting the roast without overpowering. Vanilla is noticeable primarily on the back third. Not quite as roasty as the nose, but it does still have a distinct coffee-like expression, along with molasses and caramel. Dark fruit and cola on the back third and finish.

Very lively, even a touch fizzy up front. Medium bodied, and moderately dry. Very drinkable.

This isn't a world-beating stout, but it's a really nice combination of flavors. It makes for a perfect (albeit strong) breakfast beer along the lines of FBS.

The vanilla makes it smooth. The cinnamon gives it a little bite. The 8% ABV isn’t overpowering, but isn’t weak either. A very nice, drinkable Stout. I called the brewery before purchasing this beer. There is no added lactose in it.

Excellent stout. Unlike a number of currently brewed stouts, this beer has a very smooth MF, and no sharpness to the finish. Full aroma/taste of cinnamon, some coffee and chocolate. Easy drinking.

Pours opaque, dark brown in color with one third inch head. Taste is Bosco, smoked malt, light cinnamon and vanilla. Medium heavy body, low carbonation, roasty, a tad cloying. I wanted to like this more but the Stout base is a bit flat. Lactose and flat chocolate..not my cup of tea. These guys make better.
