A grainy, rich, caramel malt focus is balanced with a touch of bittering hops, then finishes with sweet heather on the nose and tongue.

Very light head, clear auburn to ruby colour

Nose brings light toasted caramel malts, biscuity, fair fruity esters more generic,

Taste starts with the nutty rich malt, little toasted, caramel, more molasses like, stone fruity esters again generic fruit, light earthy hop bitterness

Mouth is med bod, med to higher frothy carb, a touch syrupy

Overall not bad, doesn't quite get the malt profile of a typical Scottish and def not export level of anything, but in general a decent beer

Rich amber to brown color (darker copper). Clear. Combo of slippery rings and streaks.

Darker malt aroma with some toasted bread. Light alcohol.

Plenty of caramel malt flavor without any harsh bittering burnt malts. It leans thin for the style, perhaps more so because of the higher carbonation level. Easy to drink—it may be closer to a brown ale than a Scottish Ale.
