Sampled on tap at The Barrel & Bottle, Columbus, Ohio. Pours the color of light caramel sauce, with a persistent white head that leaves some beautiful sheets of lacing as it recedes. The aromas and flavors are subtle, with the roasted malt and noble hops providing notes of dark biscuit and caramel and a lightly floral character. The bitterness is pleasantly assertive, coming through on the first sip and lasting all the way to the crisp, dry finish. Overall, an excellent beer.
