Well, this is an interesting strategy for a nano-brewer: contract brew in four different countries. I suppose it reduces transportation costs. But the differences in using local ingredients also can reduce Quality Control. But as I said in my first micro-review of Toast, they are doing the right things (using surplus bread) and that sometimes does not produce good recipes.

Which is kinda my critique of this brew: it's neither particularly good nor bad. It Looks a bit sickly and an anemic aroma. It Tastes balanced, but is not distinguished. It Feel light in my mouth. I will not have this again, but I will have a Toast again because they are trying to go where no-one has ever gone before.

Canned in a little 330ml Stubbie can and I think I picked it up from home bargains
Pours a fairly clear golden body with good white head
Aroma is toasted grain
Flavour is golden syrup with a snappy bitter finish

Cloudy darker golden pour with a full white head and plenty of frothy lacing. Big orange citrus with grassy and slightly piney hops in nose. Taste has a cool crisp malt backbone with a hint of sweetness, some rustic grain maybe rye is here too, well balanced with mild dry yeast. Feel is medium-light bodied, decently hopped and pale but peters out a bit in the middle. Paired well with beef wellington

An interesting concept for sure. The simple but eye catching plain white label and title piqued my interest. The idea of using unsold bread to brew beer and prevent food waste was even more intriguing.
Pours a golden color with a silky head that retains well.
The aroma was a combination of toasted malt and citrusy, fruity aromas that seemed to foretell a pleasantly and moderately hopped Ale.
And then came the taste. In the mouth it was medium bodied with a smooth malt feel. However, the finish was oddly sour and lemon like, so much it stood out above much else.
A strange brew that seems to be miscategorized, although what style it actually might be eludes me. I was able to get through it as it's drinkable. Average overall.

Honestly surprised what someone can do with left over bread. As most ales, the bitter hops come and greet your mouth with crispness, but it is not overbearing. The fruitiness is not apparent at first but comes in peacefully joined by a medium to thick body. Once the beer is swallowed the bitterness is gone and you are left wanting to savor another sip.

Zesty, refreshing pale ale with a rich malt base balanced by a spicy hop bite. Medium body. Would buy again.

Surprisingly good given it's brewed with unsold loaves from bakeries and unused crusts from sandwich makers.

Brewed by Hambleton Ales.

Lovely fruity beer, that is crisp and manages to capture some of the flavours of the toast from which it was brewed. It fights food waste too, and since I work in a food waste kitchen, it's definitely going to have to be my new beer!
