L: bright light amber with an off-white to cream cap with fair retention
S: The aromas are mostly fruit and initially come across as peach but as it warms more orange and vanilla come through
T: vanilla, honey, and orange with a moderate bitterness on the finish providing balance and keeping the richness of the malt, orange peel and vanilla from being cloying
F: very creamy with medium plus body and very soft medium carbonation
O: I love it because it reminds me of a fresh peach pie I used to get in Spring Green Wisconsin.

you have to like this sort of thing, heavily flavored ales, but this milkshake thing is catching on. im not sure all the additives in this one, whether its vanilla or lactose or both, or how they achieve such a true creamsicle flavor here, but they have done it well. the orange aspect tastes fresh, natural to me, and not taking over, although it certainly leads the charge. there is some sweetness here too, which makes me think milk sugar, but again, i could drink a few glasses of this before it turns into too much. there are some hops here too that play up the citrus from the orange, sort of oily not but not bitter at all, and creamy all the way in texture, wheat and oats likely, but could just be the additives too, hard to tell, which i would say is a goof thing. it means its cohesive and well balanced and natural enough to work. i had never heard of these guys before this beer, and i realize this is a tricky style to try to get a feel for a place with, but its a solid offering, as well done as something like this could be. smart and distinctive, but probably not for everyone. i sure liked it.
