This was the first crowler that I had here at the house in quite some time. Yes, it was old as it had a date of 9-28 on it as I'm guessing that it was from 2017. Regardless of it's age, it held up well over time as it tasted and felt as good as any beer that I've ever had from Hudson Valley!

Quite a hazy pour from this as it looked like a New England IPA. A lively head topped it off but that was probably due to this beer's age more than anything else, as it took quite a while to settle down. The murky, golden hue was full of light and dark sediment but once again, that was probably my fault and not a knock on this beer. It could have left more lacing down the side of my pint glass although it never came across as thin or watered-down to me. Tons of strawberry, blueberry, sour notes, and earthy fruit patch in the nose as the taste exploded with all of those. Slick, fruity, and full, the berry and oats blended beautifully on the palate as this went down easily from the first sip down to the last. A decent, but not overpowering, tartness held this together as it kept this light while ensuring that the juice would be balanced out by a puckering dryness throughout. A lot of chewiness from the oats gave this body and contributed to the naturalistic aroma that drew me in from the start, as the carbonation was light but appropriate for this style.

The same could be said for the booze as it was present but not terribly strong. A bit of warming took hold of me before I finished this off as the earthy, naturalistic feel of this beer was what ultimately drew me to it. Such a lovely beer from Hudson Valley, even after all of this time. I'd give this another go if it was possible!

Poured from a 32oz crowler into a speiglau IPA glass.

Look is a very hazy amber gold with a thick off white head.

Aroma is citrus peel and blueberries.

This is so incredibly fruity and tart. It says it just is a DDH Oat IPA, but tastes like a light sour, could be the hops.

Incredible
