Crowler filled at the brewery on 02/24/18, it pours cloudy gold color with a 1-2 finger white foamy head that faded slowly and left good spotty lacing.
Smells of grapefruit, lemon zest, orange peel, clementine, honeydew melon, starfruit, apricot, coriander and light peppery spices. The nose brings some tart and sour notes, but the citrus is dominant with floral notes like tea leaf and white pepper from the DDH coming through.
Tastes a bit sour and funky up front, but the citrus and floral hops take control and bring a ton of flavor. This is a combo of grapefruit, lemon, peach, mango, starfruit, lime, tangerine, orange peel, guava juice, tea leaf, dry floral hops, tropical fruit, coriander, dry chalky yeast, tart green apple, white wine, buttered biscuit, bubblegum and dry candy like Razzles. A bunch of earthy notes trail as it fades semi-dry with more peppery spices coming into the mix. It has that trademark Hudson Valley flavor that's different in a good way.
