Hudson Valley Brewery has been hyped for their Sour ales. While I'm conflicted labeling this as an IPA or DIPA, that doesn't disqualify it from being a wonderful fruited sour. It comes with a beautiful purple body with a pinkish white head. The nose reminds me of sour patch kids. Picking up on those sour notes but more so the fruitiness. The taste is fantastic, and the mouthfeel is even more incredible. The hype is real. Very real. The one thing i will note is don't expect much in terms of hoppiness. If you want to rate this as an IPA it will disappoint. But i must reiterate, it is a remarkable fruited sour.
