A 16 fl. oz. can with no clear canned on or best before date. Poured into a winebar glass.

Appearance: A hazy dark orange colour with a just over one finger white head that had good retention and left lots of nice lacing.

Aroma: Earl Grey tea, rhubarb, with notes of lemon zest.

Taste: Lightly sour, rhubarb, lemonade, lemon zest, Earl Grey tea, with some mixed berry notes.

Mouthfeel: Creamy, medium to full bodied with soft carbonation.

Overall: I enjoyed this a lot as I love this Earl Grey aroma and flavour that somehow appears, and is quite prominent, and it goes well with the rhubarb and lemon.

No canning date. Can to wine glass.

L: Pours a full dark orange with a pillowy white head that leaves plenty of lacing. No floaters.

S: Sweet and bubblegummy with notes of elderberries, green tea, honey and lemon.

T: Fruity sweetness with a tart backbone. Notes of elderberries, lemon and lime are dominating here. Green tea, rhubarb and honey are also in play.

F: Smooth and creamy with a low carbonation. Very juicy.

O: Fruit-forward sour IPA with a great mouthfeel and a nice overall balance of flavors. Beautiful looks, too. Unfortunately, the hops are quite hard to detect. Would have been interesting to have them in the mix as well. However, it's a very good beer. Among the best ones I've had from them so far.

Good mix of sour and ipa. Maybe needs a touch more hops, but better than most if this combo ive had.

Poured from a van into a teku glass halfway.

Look: deep gold to pale amber. Medium-high opacity. Little carbonation with a. White ring of foam on the outside of the glass.

Smell: green tea. light honey. Berry m,

Taste: quite tart but not bitter. Green tea present at the front and lingering with tea-like astringency. The fruit notes from the nose are present at the end of the sip.

Mouthfeel: medium in weight. Silky without too much heaviness. Lactose offering distinct velvet feel.

Overall: lovely. I like it more than it’s companion. The lactose rounds out the assertiveness of the matcha without taming it. Very nice.

Thanks to JodiB for this one. 16oz can (of course) poured into 14oz teku. Poured a solidly turbid brownish orange color, with barely any head, thus no retention or lacing. A solid layer of sediment sank right to the bottom of the glass, and there were a lot of floaties in suspension.

A very tart scent took the lead on the nose, with some citrus hops in the background. No malt, grain or yeast. Pretty similar on the tongue, nice tartness, citrusy hops is what ya get.

The body is the typical light of the style, and had a nicely dry finish. Drinkability was good, but don't know that I'd drink two in a row. Overall, a nice enough brew that hits the aroma and flavor notes they were aiming at, but, damn, this beer is ugly.

Yet another sour IPA homerun from HVB. It's like a Dom Perignon tropical mimosa without the effervescence or acidity. Amazing sour IPA.

Apricot pink-yellow, no head.
Smells tart and fun.
Overwhelmingly tart and fruity. Points for being super full-flavored, but ultimately a little intense to what purpose? Dial back the lemon dial up the rhubarb, maybe we'll have something interesting.
Spritzy and bright.
Drink if you like sours. Not if you like IPAs.
