Copenhagen 24/10 2025. 47,3 cl can from The Beer Hive, Amagerbrogade, Kbh. S. A very green can with a tree as centerpiece surrounded by even more trees in a fairly weird perspective.
Pours opaque, murky burgundy with a big, fluffy white head. Stable. Settles as a thin, almost transparent layer of foam stretching to cover the surface of the beer. Clinging to the sides of the glass. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a sweet odor of ripe berries angling with a bit of citrus fruit and tart fruit. Sweet raspberries and blueberries. Touch of coconut. Guava and grapefruit Tart gooseberries.
Light carbonation. Medium thick, oily, soft, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is intense with a rather strong sweetness followed by a medium strong tart bitterness. Aftertaste is sourishly bitter. Sweet undertone. Lingers for a while. Finish is quite dry.
They call it a "Sour Double Indian Pale Ale" on the can. More sour than Indian.

Pours a deep burgundy color resemblant of a dino-egg looking lychee. In times like these I like to refer to Charlie's IASIP euphemism that it's always better to eat something with a natural protective barrier--like an orange or snow crab. Raspberry puree comes through strong in this as well as a tropical coco-grapefruit aroma. All in all, this is prickly prickly as a pear, thorny as a lychee, and bristly as a passionfruit tea with a raspberry liqueur. Wow, just a lot of raspberry, which can stick to one's mouth more than sweet jam, but the acidity cuts through very nicely; and, then the sweet coconut milk nectar is an amnesiac to that tart repute.
