Hudson Valley Brewery "Repertoire II"
16 fl. oz. can. Freshness dating is illegible.
Notes via stream of consciousness: Nice label with great graphics. It's a murky yellow beneath a massive head of white foam ~ this may take me a minute to get it all poured. ... The aroma is fruity and resinous. It's gently citrusy, and tropical, even to the point of including some coconut. The hop resin character is quite strong in the mix, which is pleasant, but overall it's not the brightest aroma I've ever encountered. Still, it's quite nice. It's different. On to the taste... it's not as fruity as I thought it might be, but the coconut note remains! The softly raspy hop resins remain as well, and it's really quite different from what i thought it might be, which was just another tropical NEIPA. Oh, but wait, this is strong as well, right? Ahh, not really, it's 7% but that's not that strong, I was thinking it was more like 9. It's got a little bit of a pine note to it, and when you burp and it comes back out with the coconut it's a little weird, although I guess it's really a little weird the whole way down as well. It's not that bitter but it has some hop burn to it, and it finishes dry, woody, and herbal - almost minty. The malt is basic, and gently sweet. There's a little bit something different about it but I can't figure it out. Maybe I'm being thrown off by the hops. It does have a really silky mouthfeel though and I'm guessing there's some oats to it. I'd otherwise call it light-medium in body, and fairly effervescent. I'm not getting a pretty strong dried wood note to it, in both the aroma and flavor. It's almost cedar-like, which is probably what's giving it the dryness I'm getting. So what to say about this? It's definitely different, although I do vaguely remember tasting a beer something like this before with coconut and cedar. I'd personally probably not buy this again as it's just not my thing but it's well brewed and perfectly balanced.
Review #7,158 P.S.- It says clearly on the main page "Notes: IPA w/ wheat & oat, brewed & dry-hopped w/ Citra, Galaxy & Sabro", so there are indeed oats included.

Poured from a 16 oz can into a Dogfish Head tulip
L: Cloudy medium golden pour with big fluffy white head. Great retention and lacing.
S: Stone fruit and citrus.
T.F: Light grains and fruity hops. Peach/nectarine, grapefruit, tangerine, and pineapple. Fruity but not a juice bomb. Nice balance.... with some grass and pepper. Creamy mouthfeel... medium bodied. Well carbonated... peach/citrus finish.
O: An excellent NEIPA. Liked the fruity/peach flavor of the hops... easy drinking.
