A: The beer is black when viewed from afar; when held up to a bright light there are some traces of brown near the edges of the glass. It poured with a short off white head that left large patch of bubbles on the surface, a thin collar around the edge and lots of lacing down the sides of the glass.
S: Light to moderate aromas of dark malts are present in the nose along with hints of white grape.
T: The taste follows the smell and also has additional hints of burnt malts towards the finish.
M: It feels just about medium-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: While they were subtle, I found the aromas and flavors of white grape imparted by the Hallertau to be interesting and unique.
