This one pours a very dark black, creamy looking, with nice head, and lots of lacing.
This smells like roasted malt, smoky tea, milk chocolate, dark chocolate, and coffee.
The tea works really, really well with this one – adding a herbal and light smokiness to the roast and chocolate inherent in the base lager.
This is light bodied, but nicely creamy, and crisp on the finish, with a really nice drinkability.
I almost always love when tea is used in beer – it’s a flavor profile that goes well with so many styles, including dark lagers.
