August 6th, 2016 - A gorgeous wet cedar color, the Barbe Bruler has practically been conquering the table with an elegant and fruity aroma. And this is the first sweet smell of the visit at Burning Beard today: apples, oranges, bananas and a little wedge of overripe pear, all esconsced in a pie custard. The palate is a little flatter and thinner, which expresses as a little "off". Those ripe fruits in the aroma also come of fas underripe here in a baffling and tangy twist. There is also a more pronounced blueberry and vanilla taste, but I can't help but notice that gap between the aroma and flavor.
