A thick and chewy chocolate forward imperial stout aged 23 months in a Laws Four Grain bourbon barrel.

Dark and opaque pour; thin yet lasting tan head, semi-creamy with clinging edges of foam inside the glass. Fine balance of booze and rich chocolate notes. Big chocolate and roasted grain flavors; boozy with oak-ish tannins; grain char bitterness. Generally a heavy body; a bit watery despite its residual sugar feel; warm, almost hot feel; dry stickiness.
A fair enough bourbon barrel aged beer. It is rough around the edges but satisfactory.
