a well balanced and robust ipa from these guys, the craftier arm of creemore springs. the label says grapefruit and juniper or pine or something, i cant quite remember, but these may be tasting notes rather than ingredients, just a profile of the hops. its a clear orange to copper colored beer, some english influence visually evident, and the nose and taste show an obvious european crystal malt complexion. i smell zesty citrus and bitter wintery pine, fragrant and fresh, plenty robust enough to get through the sweeter bready grain, and its true in the flavor too. the beer is fresh and intense in flavor, almost wintergreen or something, herbaceous, with grapefruit definitely being pretty accurate. i wish the bitterness was toned down a bit, it limits drinkability for me in an otherwise very palatable brew. long lingering aftertaste from the hops, sturdy body, clean though, with just a faint metallic thing at the very end after the bitter starts to subside. overall this was quite good, and i liked the batch beers a little more than the creemore stuff generally speaking. old school and good this one!

Pours hazy orange with a chunky everlasting head that drapes the glass in foam. Gorgeous fruity, tropical Mosaic and Citra hop notes in the nose, with some grainy malt to balance. White grapefruit, peach, pine and tropical notes in the taste. Bready, toasty malts provide great balance to the hop assault. Some alcohol spice. The mouthfeel is medium to full bodied with a creamy, high carbonation. Moderate bitterness in the long, fruity finish.
This is a great IPA from the new Creemore microbrewery in Toronto. A great mix of Mosaic, Citra and Summit hops. Super fruity and citrusy, and quite quaffable. Worth a try for sure.
