Pint pour on draught at the brewery. It pours a bright orange with copper hues. Almost no head or lacing. The smell offers grapefruit, lemon, orange, and floral hops. Honestly, I wasn't impressed by the appearance or smell but then I tasted it. It opens with a rich malt background with sharp grapefruit rind and lemon peel. As it warms there are also sweeter notes of orange/tangerine. It's extremely well-balanced and exceedingly flavorful. It has everything I'd want in a WCIPA. The mouth feel is medium-bodied and well-carbonated and the 7.4% ABV is ideal for this ale. Overall, the flavor overcomes the appearance and nose. This is truly a first rate WCIPA. If Glenmere canned it, then I would buy it. I'm impressed.
