Pint pour on draught at the brewery. I ordered it along with an IPA and let it warm a bit before drinking. It pours a deep walnut. I was very impressed by the color of the head: medium mocha with rosy hues from the berry; a most unusual and pleasing color. Although the head dissipated quickly I give it style points for initial appearance. The nose offers roasted malt, burnt coffee, tobacco ash, and very evident raspberry. I waited till it warmed a bit before tasting. The first thing I noticed was the raspberry. It's strong and tart. The base stout offers dark chocolate, burnt coffee, char, and tobacco. The stout itself is very good. but the raspberry takes it to a higher level. It's medium-bodied with fairly lively carbonation, and the 7.5% ABV gives it good substance. Overall, I'm very impressed by this stout. It's a good recipe and very well executed. I won't be a stranger to Glenmere!

Served on tap in a 13 oz (385 ml) goblet at Alamo Drafthouse in Yonkers, NY.
A: Pours a very dark brown to black color with a less than one finger, tan head, low retention, and limited lacing.
S: Aromas of black coffee, lactose, dark berries, and plums.
T: Sweet to semisweet with flavors that follow the nose, although lactose sugar stronger and bitterness surprisingly strong.
M: Medium to full bodied with low to medium carbonation.
O: A delicious take on a classic
