This brewery isnt earning any points from me with this offering. Luckily I only had to drink a little of it to do a review. I actually couldnt finish my glass!
Pours up a beutiful deep brown mahogony color. Brillinatly clear and topped by a very creamy fine bubbled head. The aroma was very interesting with and upfront deep roast malt nose almost Stout-like! The malt smells very crisp and clean and its slightly malty sweet and with a hint of smoke. I couldnt wait to dive into this possible masterpiece. Then the bottom fell out.... The Bier is incredibally sweet upfront backed by a mild deeply roasted malt flavor. The second sip became cloyingly sweet and I felt like I was drinking Malzbier. Imagine drinking wort from a stout beer. Thats What I thought I was doing here. Way-way to sweet by any standards!!!
Put the glass down and moved on... This one needs work. Please ferment it out a little more!!!!
