This week’s release is a collaboration that has been long overdue! We’ve hooked up with Southampton’s finest, Unity Brewing Co, and put together a fresh and funky Fruited Sour IPA that is the Mariage Parfait to the winter season!
A simple grist made with oats and wheat creates a rounded and fluffy base that plays host to mounds of fruit and hops. Seasonal plum brings an initial cut of drying tartness and sour grape with blueberry following with its unmistakable quenching berries, sweet vanilla and tannic qualities. A balanced dose of Citra, Mosaic and Talus hops exchange with the fruits, enhancing their characteristics and finishing the beer with a smack of smooth coconut and a dash of spice.

L: Hazy, burnt orange with a thin cap that disappears quickly to a ring.
S: Citrusy hops plus a hint of cyder vinegar.
T: Follows the nose with the addition of fresh apple and blueberry skin.
F: Light body with a solid tang and a dry finish.
O: Very refreshing, very easy-drinking, highly enjoyable. Too much alcohol for a summer afternoon quencher but makes for an excellent year-round sour ale.
