Poured from 500mL bottle into my BeerAdvocate teku. Bottled 11/24/25.
Appearance: pale golden hue with a dash of haze and a finger of frothy ivory foam atop.
Smell: very sweet, almost cloyingly so, but with a nice pear character from the yeast. Not terrible, but too sweet.
Taste: syrupy sweet; like I said, too sweet, even for a tripel, but there is a nice orchardy character here too. Bit of alcohol heat here, too. The bitterness is also appropriate to the style. Flavor is a bit nicer than the aroma, but it’s still not my favorite tripel.
Mouthfeel: medium-rich body with an okay carbonation and a decent creaminess.
Overall: it’s an okay tripel, especially for an American tripel. We just can’t seem to figure out this style here in the States!

Poured into a Gulden Draak tulip. Pours a hazy, medium golden amber with a two finger white head with great retention and solid lacing. Aroma of grainy malt, clove, apple, mild dried light stone fruit. Flavor is grainy and candi malt, clove, coriander, apple, dried light stone fruit and a touch of citrus. Mildly sweet at first and dries out in the finish. Medium bodied with moderate creaminess. A very nicely made and flavorful tripel. Overall hits all the flavor points of the style with great malt body, good spicing and classic mixed fruit notes. The flavor progression is interesting, starting with a little sweetness, but finishing dry, but with a final burst of fruit esters. One of the better new tripels I've had in the last few years, nicely done. They refer to this as their flagship brew and it's worthy of that. My first beer from this brewery and based on this and the taster of their black saison, which I will review later, I'll be returning to try other brews.
