very cool little neighborhood spot that i have somehow never checked out until now, man the amount of beer stuff happening in seattle and the pace of change is always impressive, not that this place is new, just that there is always something to discover when i visit! i wish this place was is my neighborhood in boise, i would be there three days a week. its on a busy corner and has some cool outside seating in a few different areas, fireplaces on one side, getting slightly past the season for that, but some real nice sit spots here. inside its all windows so very bright, even in the evening light, we got a cool table in the back hallway with a view to the modest brew setup around the corner from the little bar area and the open kitchen, some really cool zones in this place, neat decor, feels homey and interesting, urban but mellow, old school and not trying too hard, really chill. the beer list was cool too, i mean heck they had four saisons on tap at one time, i didnt love any of the beers we drank, which were three of the saisons and a dark ale, but they were solid and i appreciate the approach, some carbonation issues, some mid level fermentation, but at least it wasnt basic stuff, the rye saison was fun, they had a cool dark one too, a little amateurish overall, but plenty drinkable and all. the food menu was compelling too, we just had an appetizer of roasted vegetables but it was killer, the prep was professional, the sauce epic, and all of it very handmade and intentional, would love to go back and dig a little deeper on the food next time, but it was really advanced for a little brewpub. they also had a good drink list beyond just beer, something for everyone here i would say. solid service. the food and the vibes would be a higher draw back for me than the beer, but i liked what i had well enough and appreciated the diversity, fun spot, mellow and personal feeling, definitely put them on the seattle list!

I've been here twice now, both times on the weekend for a late lunch / early dinner with my wife and kids.
The food is good and interesting. They have some unusual things on the menu, and everything I've tried has been very tasty.
The beer is pretty good. Nothing great, but nothing bad. Reasonably good selection between a couple IPAs, a lager or two, a couple sours, more Belgian styles, one or two guest taps.
They also have some cocktails.
Service has been good. Servers have been able to answer my questions about the beer.
Seems like a popular place, pretty busy on both occasions. Building itself seems older and interesting, brewing facility is open to see from part of the seating area, including some of the outdoor seating. Crowd seems mostly like 30-somethings.

I visited Perihelion for the first time the other day and I definitely think I'll be going back. It's a relatively new brewery in the Beacon Hill area, just across the street from the light rail station (very convenient indeed!). The place looks good with lots of exposed brick and beams, and there's some nice outdoor seating when the weather cooperates.
They had 10 beers on tap plus a guest cider. I tried three of them and for the most part was impressed with their quality. One of them, the maple wheat IPA, was pretty good but a pretty weird beer indeed, and I look forward to trying more of their experimental stuff. There were plenty of staff, so service was good even though the place gets pretty busy with the after-work crowd.
I didn't try any of the food, but it's an open kitchen right in the middle of the space and what they were preparing looked pretty tasty.
