Draft at the brewery
Big pillowy foamy head fades slowly, mild soapy lacing, very hazy golden orange color
Nose nice Belgian saison, plenty of gristy doughy earthy malt, toasted, then big yeast additions, peppery spice phenols, fruity esters with tree fruit and citrus, fair orange
Taste fair malt again, mild grist, toasted wheat creamy, then again Belgian yeast, plenty of fruity esters, now citrus, lemongrass, orange, tree fruit, into more phenols, pepper and spice, little perfumey, mild sticky sweet finish
Mouth fair creamy med bod, nice fizzy carb
Overall quite nice, ticked just about every column it needed, only a bit sticky sweet on the finish. Again not sure why it has a low rating, because it's not a quadrupel barrel aged double New England IPA with flavor profile going to 11?
