Can
L-tawny brown. Clear. 1F tan head fades rapidly with no appreciable lacing
S-quite light nose. Faint grains, maybe a hint of caramel
T-malt forward and pleasantly so. Simple but unified flavor with a hint of caramel and maybe toffee.
F-Somewhat notable prominence to the carbonation. Light to medium body.
O-it fits the style and it has an enjoyable taste, but the minimal nose and mouthfeel keep this beer from reaching outstanding for me.

Pours dark with a tan head Nose is light, but smell a cola or cocoa. Taste is cocoa as well, with a nice bitter follow through.. Good beer. with a little higher ABV this would be VERY good

With the explosion of craft brewers popping up in every little nook and cranny of America, you'd think that there's be an abundance of variety. But with all of them following the popular beer trends, it leaves their chalkboard menus reading quite the same. Mile Wide is embracing variety by looking to England and their Mild Ale.
Good Evening Miss promises bold flavor, complexity and depth is a small alcohol package by first flowing with a medium brown and slightly hazy pour. With a frothy, slightly tarnish froth rising, the scent of heavy toast, light cocoa, coffee and nuttiness along with nuanced fruit notes decorate the nose. A light but pleasant sweetness carries a sense of peanut brittle as its candied nuttiness, savory toast and light chocolate character showing a surprisingly deep flavor up front.
As the sweetness dissolves quickly from the middle palate, the taste of toast, cocoa and light coffee remain in order to pull ahead in taste for a dry but savory character. Hints of dark berry, fig and plum see a background set of flavors before the beer turns woodsy, peppery and herbal with hops.
Medium light in body, the beer's robust taste does the opposite in texture as its finishes as a rather refreshing dark beer. A dry and peppery aftertaste is remiss of cola and faint tobacco as the flavors keep coming even in the beer's aftertaste.

16 ounce can, no dating on it that I noticed but I purchased a 4-pack of this a couple weeks ago at the Mile Wide taproom. Can says 4.0% ABV. Served in a Mile Wide pint glass, the beer pours a dark reddish/brown color with almost an inch light tan head. Head retention and lacing are both decent enough. Aroma is nice, the brew smells like toffee, toasted malt and dark fruit. It's a mostly sweet and fruit smelling brew. Taste is pretty much just like the aroma with toasted malt, plum, toffee, and dark bread flavors. Mouthfeel/body is light/medium, it's smooth and easy to drink with a good amount of carbonation. I liked this mild ale, enjoyable enough to drink and with a nice amount of flavor too. Definitely worth trying, especially if you're into mild ales. I know I'd like to buy this again in the future.
