I got a can of this beer from my good friend and old neighbor from the 'Wego. It poured a hazy orangish with white head that left some nice lace. The scent had fresh melon and guava fruit with subtle pine accents. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with bright semi sweet malt base with mango, pineapple and subtle berry presence. The mouthfeel was medium in body and had good carbonation. Overall it is a solid beer.

ONE PINT can
Served in an oversized, stemless, wine glass
This beer pours yellow and turbid. It is topped with a couple inches of fluffy, beige head that leaves decent lacing.
Citrus aroma with a focus on grapefruit. Hints of melon.
Nice citrus flavor with some underlying melon.
Medium bodied with an effervescent mouthfeel
Solid beer

At the brewery's tap room, pours a very hazy a whole lot of juicy citrus going on here, and pretty cane sugar sweet. Also a bit more hoppy (and grassy!) liveliness than is ideal for the style. Not much in the way of layers of flavor, but it nails the juicy haze thing, and all in all, it is a good brew, albeit a good brew in a crowded field. I had had Bearded Iris's Neipa the night before and that was kind of in the back of my mind...this doesn't quite match up, but I'd be glad to drink it again.

My notes for this draft say "impressive." True to the NEIPA style, it tasted a lot like orange juice. My only complaint was that them menu where I had it said it was 5.5%, which is not true. This might remove the "impressive" label since it's easier to get that much flavor from higher abv. It was consumed in a world-class beer bar locally, so this was a big error on their part.

Citrus to the extreme! Pour hazy as can be. Head is off white with a froth that lasts a bit and dissipates to a nice lacing. Flavor is juicy and luscious. Great NE Style ipa.

Canned 8/31/17; drank 10/22/17 @ the Yarchives.
Cloudy orange appearance.
A rough pour yielded a nice white head; thick lacing.
Mango, cane sugar & wheat notes in the nose.
Medium mouthfeel.
Mango & cane sugar flavors up front; dry wheat notes on the finish.
A bit sweet & a bit dry; easy to quaff but not one I'd return to anytime soon.

Let the England invasion begin! "New England", that is. As the taste of IPA has traveled all across the country, the ones that have beer geeks crawling like catnip are the ones that put New England on the craft beer map. As that influence plays out, its taste has spread into the bluegrass state. Mile Wide's "northeast-style" IPA hits the tongue with one word- Juicy!
Tuck Rule pours the nearly turbid, foggy, golden straw appearance of dense fruit juice. But its creamy meringue spills onto the senses with a breaming perfume of tropical, citrus, orchard and vinous fruits, all wrapped in a grassy hop cocoon. Sweet on the tongue, its tantalizing maltiness seems of the juices of branch ripened citrus and tropical medleys.
Succulence exudes from the ale as the exotic fruit impressions wash the middle palate. Papaya, passionfruit, pineapple, white grapefruit, orange, lemon, grape and kiwi all spring to life under the backbone of honey and pastry-like malts. Yet as the sweetness recedes, the bitterness grows. Finishing with a smooth but firmly gripping bitterness, the tethers of fresh grass clippings, freshly shaven pine and an herbal bouquet remind the tastebuds of the IPA within.
Medium bodied but given fuller impression due to the rich starchy malt structures, the beer remains creamy while dry. Tangy like fruit sherbet and then bitter like fruit rinds, the complexities of the beer are just as wondrous as its drinkability is refreshing. A long bitter aftertaste is joined with rolling echoes of fruit and herb.
